2023 Annual Meeting
Celebrating 25 Years of WCWA!

On March 7th 2023, the Washington County Watershed Alliance  hosted it's 13th annual membership meeting. This was our first 'normal' annual meeting since prior to the pandemic in 2019. The event was well attended, with 39 guests present. A raffle of local goods & nature themed items was held and over $430 was raised. Presentations kicked off with a 15 minute presentation by WCWA President Sam Carroll titled Celebrating 25 Years of WCWA. At large board member elections were held by Vice President Vicki Bryan and Sam Carroll, Jason Fillhart, and Terri Gladus were elected by the members. Sam and Jason have served since 2019 whereas this is Ms. Gladus' first term on the board. Thank you to Vicki Bryan who served 8 years on the board before stepping down this year to spend more time with her family. The second presentation highlighted the 2022 activities of the Alliance and the Watershed Associations and was given by WCWA Treasurer, Jennifer Dann.  For the final presentation, Sam Carroll & strategic plan consultant Kimberlie Gridley talked about the work that went into the strategic plan and highlighted some preliminary proposals from the plan. The night ended with a presentation of a wooden plaque to Jennifer Dann recognizing her for over 10 years of outstanding service to WCWA during her time as the Washington County Conservation District Watershed Specialist. Congratulations to Jennifer on her promotion to WCCD Manager!
